Before you give up, here are some how to sell Avon online tips to revive your AVON side business. Some of these tips, have added info to show you how it worked for me.
1| Make your previous customers VIP
When I sent out thank you cards to the 4-5 customers I had at one time, they ordered again.
2| Put a small Avon sticker on the driver side back window of your car.
Every time I visit a drive thru – the cashier sees my sticker and asks for a book. I’ve gained new customers and new reps on my team this way. And I didn’t have to start the conversation.
3| Create a bundle of Avon samples and post it on Facebook.
4| Join as many large Avon FB groups as you can.
5| Use Campaign Mailer for previous customers.
Campaign Mailer has been a great tool if you have an extra $20/mo to spend.
6| Share Avon videos from your store to Pinterest.
7| Share specific product links from your store to Pinterest.
When I share my favorite lipstick page on Pinterest, that’s what generates the price of the lipstick on the pin after it’s shared.
8| Plan to set up at a local function.
9| Sign up to be in a local parade with your car.
I was the first Avon Rep in my town to be in the parade. It sent me at least 20 new customers.
10| Hand out samples and business cards in the parade. (you’ll need a helper to drive)
I handed out my cards, lipstick samples and candy. I also borrowed my mom’s BMW to ride in the parade. Ha! It was fun!
11| Wear Avon perfume to work.
12| Get previous customer birthdays and send cards/samples.
13| Give a teenager you know a sample gift bundle. (their family will want one too)
14| Have brochures ready when you go through drive thru’s
With having the Avon sticker on your back driver side window, people see it and ask for a brochure.
15| Run a local Google ads campaign for Skin So Soft in the summer.
17| Find model photos on Avon Social for blogs and new posts.
18|Use Avon social inspirational quotes on your FB page.
19|Offer a free lipstick sample drawing to 2 winners each month and collect email signups for it.
20| Make an AVON unboxing video.
21| Make a video showing lipstick swatches on your arm under running water.
22| Make a video showing eyeliner swatches under running water.
23| Post every video, quote, or link to all of your social media channels.
24| Study influencers to learn techniques of how to not be nervous on social media.
25| YouTube is your friend. Use it to show off beautiful Avon packaging.
26| Use the AVON Insider blog posts from your e-store. Share them on all your social media channels.
27| Prepare for holidays well with gift sets.
28| Share free shipping codes via text.
30| It starts with lipstick. Check for clearance lipstick every campaign. Do a giveaway for a free full size lipstick but collect emails for it.
31| I have customers around the country. Send them a card telling them of the discount you offer for any new customers they refer to your store.
32| Switch your Mom, Aunts, & sisters to AVON skincare. They’ll be your best customers.
33| Always always always keep a brochure in your car.
34| Put your text campaign info on a label on the back of your business cards. Email Sign-up enters them in a free lipstick giveaway.
35| Post a selfie wearing AVON jewelry and put the link back to the jewelry in your post.
36| Bring your Avon polish with you when you get your nails done and have the technician take your before and after hand pictures.
37| Find a cause you care about with Avon and create a Pinterest graphic about it mentioning AVON.
38| Start a hashtag for your AVON team on Instagram. Some popular ones are: #nextgenavon and #gorgeousavonreps
39| Have any gay or trans friends? Don’t leave them out. Trans women would enjoy shopping for makeup discreetly with you.
40| Know any MUA’s? Collaborate with them to do a makeover giveaway.
41| Last but not least, make sure you get your $200 AVON credit on your account. If you don’t have it, find out what you need to do to get it.
